Should you be looking to get Guinea Pigs for your home as 'family pets' - we always recommend careful research and consideration. You can look at all our videos and various Social Media content. The most suitable Guinea Pigs for you are always worth waiting for - please do not just get the first ones you see - that is our very best bit of advice.
Go somewhere that is highly recommended, ask lots of questions and take your time. We've helped many people that have contacted us and live local and 'fairly local' - our Reviews and Recommendations are very positive indeed. We can help you if you are serious about getting Guinea Pigs - you might well have to wait, but yes we can help.

We are based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. We occasionally have Guinea Pigs 'available' - we do very low-level breeding.

If you are thinking of getting Guinea Pigs, PLEASE start with some research, get a book, look at lots of videos and read up on the Internet. Having pets is a serious responsibility and our priority is to the Guinea Pigs. Take your time, there is no rush. You want the RIGHT Guinea Pigs, not the FIRST ones !
Rescue's are also a good place to contact if you are thinking about getting a pair of Guinea Pigs. I don't have knowledge of any near to us - you will have to do your research accordingly.

UPDATE : 11th March 2024 : news and the latest...................
Over recent weeks we sadly lost two of our older Guinea Pigs - Epicurus passed away on Tues 31st October 2023 (she had been unwell for a while - but had an excellent quality of life for much of that time) & then a total shock of suddenly losing Spike on Weds 14th Feb 2024, she went within 24 hours of her not looking 100%.
We welcomed two litters - Bella had 4 on 2nd Dec 2023 - and we have kept a female from that litter - Stripe. The second litter was from Democritus and she had two born on Sun 25th Feb 2024.

LOCAL AUDIENCE SHOWS : I was delighted to be asked to attend 1st Aylesbury Alder Beaver Group on Weds 21st Feb 2024 : giving a 'Show and Tell' featuring Stardust, Storm and Moondust - topic was Guinea Pigs & general Animal Welfare. The evening was a great success and went towards the Beavers Animal Badge.
FUTURE AUDIENCE SHOW : I'm next due at Wendover Brownies on Tues 7th May 2024. [there is also a 'maybe' booking at a local Junior School - currently that is TBA]
If you belong or your child attends a local Group such as Rainbows, Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Brownies, Guides or Scouts - I can attend and do an informative and age appropriate 'Show and Tell'. UPDATE : 8th Oct 2023 : THIS Website is now undergoing BIG updates..........
'Current Guinea Pigs' is now COMPLETED with photos - and Storm's daughter that we kept - Moondust, photos added.
'Those now in Piggy Heaven' - this features three of ours that have now passed away - we will always remember them, they are so missed.
'Departed Guinea Pigs' - we let a number of our Adult Guinea Pigs depart in Spring 2022, so this section will feature photos and info on these wonderful Guinea Pigs.
'Current Male Borrow In' - we don't keep any Adult males, so we borrow them in from our friend - Cupcake now added.
That's where we are at present - more updates very soon. Lots more content and information to be added.
To add : we do VERY low level breeding, we have cut right back on our numbers. You are more than welcome to drop me an e-mail if you are serious (please do your research) about having a pair of our youngsters. Social Media - Already on Facebook, Instagram, & now ta da TikTok and YouTube - please see the links at the foot of the page. Both TikTok and YouTube pages are at a very early stage, but I'm presently adding general content to them - and we'll see how that goes once we have a decent Following on both - always keen for more Followers if you are on any of these Social Media platforms.
This website will also be added to - takes a bit of time, but it's happening.
I have done a few business promotions in the last few weeks - again, something new and interesting to go into.

UPDATE : 26th Sept 2022 : we very sadly lost our oldest Guinea Pig called Mummy (from the main photo) at the end of July after a very short illness. We'd also been very busy since the last update on 15th June - we now have 10 females split into 3 family lines and we can 'borrow' males in as and when we require them. Our overall breeding in the future will be much, much less than in the past 3 years, however - I do have excellent contacts, so if I can't help you...I will know someone who can !

UPDATE : 15th June 2022 - in Feb / Mar / Apr, our pregnant Guinea Pigs all delivered and everything 'available' has now left us.
We have also taken the opportunity to slightly reduce our overall numbers - we are now at 11 females of various ages. I will be updating this website with full pics and bio's of those that remain with us.
We will breed in the future, but the frequency of this will be greatly reduced - maybe 3 litters overall a year. Our next litter will (hopefully) be from Mercury and this will be at the end of 2022. We will keep a Female from that litter.
I'm still doing 'very popular' Animal Welfare talks to local groups - such as Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Brownies, and Rainbows. And I speak at schools as well. Please e-mail me for more details. Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire area

If you are thinking on getting a pair of Male or Female Guinea Pigs in 2022, why not drop me an e-mail and I can give you some more details. I can answer all your questions and can offer excellent advice (based on my 20 years experience of owning these wonderful animals). We are very thorough throughout the process, as owning pets is a serious commitment.

My name is Simon Holding and I have kept and owned Guinea Pigs for over 20 years - I have a vast amount of experience and knowledge of these wonderful animals. Towards the end of 2017, I started going into Primary Schools and Nurseries with some of our pet Guinea Pigs, speaking to children about them and giving them the opportunity to see Guinea Pigs up close. I took my time to learn the skills required to engage with the children and to find out what sort of 'Show and Tell' worked with different age groups and I was also able to present to Beavers and Cubs.
My wife is involved within Education, and she initially was both the 'door opener' to a School venue or two and also advising structure and pacing of those first shows. Additionally, with our children at our local Beavers / Cubs, these presented an early opportunity to present and show off the Guinea Pigs.
Over the next two years, these talks kept getting incredibly well received and from the start of 2020, I was then able to charge a small amount with all the monies going back to our Guinea Pigs - food, hay, vegetables, vet bill savings account, Show insurance and enrichment toys for the Guinea Pigs.
Covid-19 changed all of that in March 2020 - so as a family we started doing LIVE Guinea Pig Talks on Facebook Live through my Facebook Page - Bucks Guinea Pig Talks - these proved to be far, far more popular than we ever expected - we have attracted viewers and Follows from all over the world - most of our viewers are based in the United Kingdom. The Facebook Live Shows are also uploaded afterwards, enabling multiple viewings.
From March 2020 to September 2021 with the high Covid rates : Groups such as Beavers, Rainbows, Cubs, Brownies, Guides and Scouts were unable to meet in person. Due to repeated requests from groups, I was able to offer through the Zoom platform a wonderful 'Show and Tell' - all received fantastic feedback and the children really enjoy them. I worked closely with the Leaders for each unique show - all were age appropriate and there was plenty of 'audience interaction' - it's a fun show that brightens up any evening ! The children learn't many aspects of Guinea Pig life, saw some of our Guinea Pigs up close and the Leaders saw a completely different side to the children in their Groups. The cost for each Show was £35. The Group Leaders control the Zoom and all shows they record. These Groups are now meeting again 'in person', but I can STILL OFFER a ZOOM Show if a Group requests it. Technology is a wonderful thing...........
I have set up this 'very basic' website to provide more information about the Zoom shows and a few other aspects of Bucks Guinea Pig Talks. I am based near Aylesbury (in Buckinghamshire) - live with my wife and two young children and 15 Guinea Pigs.
There is a BUTTON link to the Facebook Page, the Instagram Page and the You Tube Page - I will update things as we go along.
This isn't a business, I call it a Hobby+ (a Hobby that I run in an very professional way) - 'Simon and his Guinea Pigs' just sounded very awful, hence it's 'Bucks Guinea Pig Talks'.
I hope that 2022 should see a return to Buckinghamshire 'in person' shows at Groups mentioned above, and to Schools and Nurseries - these are all age appropriate. Ages 5-11 seem to work best - with the younger ages it's more of a 'fun, fast paced' show, the older children get more information regarding presenting/performing. Group sizes are perfect at 20-30, but I've also spoken (on a Friday afternoon !!) to a hall full of 100, Year 5/6 children - to great success and feedback.
I am fully DBS cleared and have numerous references if required.

Covid-19 changed all of that in March 2020 - so as a family we started doing LIVE Guinea Pig Talks on Facebook Live through my Facebook Page - Bucks Guinea Pig Talks - these proved to be far, far more popular than we ever expected - we have attracted viewers and Follows from all over the world - most of our viewers are based in the United Kingdom. The Facebook Live Shows are also uploaded afterwards, enabling multiple viewings.
From March 2020 to September 2021 with the high Covid rates : Groups such as Beavers, Rainbows, Cubs, Brownies, Guides and Scouts were unable to meet in person. Due to repeated requests from groups, I was able to offer through the Zoom platform a wonderful 'Show and Tell' - all received fantastic feedback and the children really enjoy them. I worked closely with the Leaders for each unique show - all were age appropriate and there was plenty of 'audience interaction' - it's a fun show that brightens up any evening ! The children learn't many aspects of Guinea Pig life, saw some of our Guinea Pigs up close and the Leaders saw a completely different side to the children in their Groups. The cost for each Show was £35. The Group Leaders control the Zoom and all shows they record. These Groups are now meeting again 'in person', but I can STILL OFFER a ZOOM Show if a Group requests it. Technology is a wonderful thing...........
I have set up this 'very basic' website to provide more information about the Zoom shows and a few other aspects of Bucks Guinea Pig Talks. I am based near Aylesbury (in Buckinghamshire) - live with my wife and two young children and 15 Guinea Pigs.

This isn't a business, I call it a Hobby+ (a Hobby that I run in an very professional way) - 'Simon and his Guinea Pigs' just sounded very awful, hence it's 'Bucks Guinea Pig Talks'.
I hope that 2022 should see a return to Buckinghamshire 'in person' shows at Groups mentioned above, and to Schools and Nurseries - these are all age appropriate. Ages 5-11 seem to work best - with the younger ages it's more of a 'fun, fast paced' show, the older children get more information regarding presenting/performing. Group sizes are perfect at 20-30, but I've also spoken (on a Friday afternoon !!) to a hall full of 100, Year 5/6 children - to great success and feedback.
I am fully DBS cleared and have numerous references if required.

Over recent weeks we sadly lost two of our older Guinea Pigs - Epicurus passed away on Tues 31st October 2023 (she had been unwell for a while - but had an excellent quality of life for much of that time) & then a total shock of suddenly losing Spike on Weds 14th Feb 2024, she went within 24 hours of her not looking 100%.
We welcomed two litters - Bella had 4 on 2nd Dec 2023 - and we have kept a female from that litter - Stripe. The second litter was from Democritus and she had two born on Sun 25th Feb 2024.

LOCAL AUDIENCE SHOWS : I was delighted to be asked to attend 1st Aylesbury Alder Beaver Group on Weds 21st Feb 2024 : giving a 'Show and Tell' featuring Stardust, Storm and Moondust - topic was Guinea Pigs & general Animal Welfare. The evening was a great success and went towards the Beavers Animal Badge.
FUTURE AUDIENCE SHOW : I'm next due at Wendover Brownies on Tues 7th May 2024. [there is also a 'maybe' booking at a local Junior School - currently that is TBA]

UPDATE : 8th Oct 2023 : THIS Website is now undergoing BIG updates..........
'Current Guinea Pigs' is now COMPLETED with photos - and Storm's daughter that we kept - Moondust, photos added.
'Those now in Piggy Heaven' - this features three of ours that have now passed away - we will always remember them, they are so missed.
'Departed Guinea Pigs' - we let a number of our Adult Guinea Pigs depart in Spring 2022, so this section will feature photos and info on these wonderful Guinea Pigs.
'Current Male Borrow In' - we don't keep any Adult males, so we borrow them in from our friend - Cupcake now added.
That's where we are at present - more updates very soon. Lots more content and information to be added.
To add : we do VERY low level breeding, we have cut right back on our numbers. UPDATE : 28th Oct 2022 : Very very busy last few weeks - just a brief overview of things.....
Social Media - Already on Facebook, Instagram, & now ta da TikTok and YouTube - please see the links at the foot of the page. Both TikTok and YouTube pages are at a very early stage, but I'm presently adding general content to them - and we'll see how that goes once we have a decent Following on both - always keen for more Followers if you are on any of these Social Media platforms.
This website will also be added to - takes a bit of time, but it's happening.
I have done a few business promotions in the last few weeks - again, something new and interesting to go into.

UPDATE : 26th Sept 2022 : we very sadly lost our oldest Guinea Pig called Mummy (from the main photo) at the end of July after a very short illness. We'd also been very busy since the last update on 15th June - we now have 10 females split into 3 family lines and we can 'borrow' males in as and when we require them. Our overall breeding in the future will be much, much less than in the past 3 years, however - I do have excellent contacts, so if I can't help you...I will know someone who can !

UPDATE : 15th June 2022 - in Feb / Mar / Apr, our pregnant Guinea Pigs all delivered and everything 'available' has now left us.
We have also taken the opportunity to slightly reduce our overall numbers - we are now at 11 females of various ages. I will be updating this website with full pics and bio's of those that remain with us.
We will breed in the future, but the frequency of this will be greatly reduced - maybe 3 litters overall a year. Our next litter will (hopefully) be from Mercury and this will be at the end of 2022. We will keep a Female from that litter.

My name is Simon Holding and I have kept and owned Guinea Pigs for over 20 years - I have a vast amount of experience and knowledge of these wonderful animals. Towards the end of 2017, I started going into Primary Schools and Nurseries with some of our pet Guinea Pigs, speaking to children about them and giving them the opportunity to see Guinea Pigs up close. I took my time to learn the skills required to engage with the children and to find out what sort of 'Show and Tell' worked with different age groups and I was also able to present to Beavers and Cubs.
My wife is involved within Education, and she initially was both the 'door opener' to a School venue or two and also advising structure and pacing of those first shows. Additionally, with our children at our local Beavers / Cubs, these presented an early opportunity to present and show off the Guinea Pigs.
Over the next two years, these talks kept getting incredibly well received and from the start of 2020, I was then able to charge a small amount with all the monies going back to our Guinea Pigs - food, hay, vegetables, vet bill savings account, Show insurance and enrichment toys for the Guinea Pigs.

The Shows - basic details
Duration is approximately 30-45 minutes, but there is no clock watching.
4 aims for each show - To Amuse, To Inform, To Educate, To Entertain - every Show so far has done this and every audience has a better knowledge of caring for animals, and of course in particular Guinea Pigs.
Content - always age appropriate, but I will discuss with the organiser beforehand - preparation is key.
At Schools - it really is a learning experience of 30-45 mins : it's not me just 'having a laugh' - the children will learn lots about caring for animals. As a parent myself, I would want my children to learn when they see someone talking to them during school hours.
Groups / Clubs - Beavers, Rainbows, Cubs, Brownies, Guides and Scouts earn Badges, I can provide the Animal Caring side to badges.
Delivery Style - I keep it light and quick moving, I try to involve all the children to have a say and there is a good deal of humour added in. If its not fun, then its boring and I don't like boring !!!
The Zoom Shows are similar, but the children don't get to stroke the Guinea Pigs - although they do get to see them very close up via the camera !!
I also have much experience in hosting large events and dealing with the General Public, so unexpected events at any Shows I do, I can deal with.
Our Guinea Pigs
These are our pets, they all have the most fantastic and different names - we have various different breeds.
Occasionally, we do have Guinea Pigs available for sale - please e-mail for details. We do have a 'waiting list' - and plenty of very happy new Guinea Pig owners.
Having a 'waiting list' and excellent recomendations is a very good indication of well cared for animals. We will fully advise 'new owners' and offer good practical advise on set up and care. We provide full information throughout the whole process and once the Guinea Pigs leave us, we continue close contact for the first two weeks during settling in. After this point, we are ALWAYS available to answer questions, offer thoughts and advice and to encourage.
Many of our Buyers keep in contact and send us regular updates - we deliberately speak directly to any children when it's collection time - they are the future of these fabulous animals. I remember when I got my first Guinea Pigs over 40 years ago - we want the children of 2021 to also remember.
